Like Rin Hoshizora, this one is overly mindful of others’ opinions, especially regarding appearance and hygiene.
It is a terrible personality flaw!
ma’habocath tries to tell himself, “Why care? They don’t matter. You’re under delusion of Spotlight Effect.” And so forth. But no matter how much I realize academically, I don’t know in my bones that this is so, much like how one who grew up in the desert may know that snow is cold, but has no understanding, if you catch this one’s drift.
Perhaps it is for the best; it keeps ma’habocath neat and tidy, which can only be a good thing so long as this one keeps it reigned in.
Another way ma’habocath is like Rin Hoshizora, is that he puts forth effort to be “true to his gender”, but not nearly so much as the above.
Whereas she tries her best to be girly, to be lady-like despite being a tomboy (which is perfectly fine by ma’habocath: it is a big part of her charm!), this one sometimes makes effort to put on a front as a big tough manly-man.
Again, this is only sometimes; ma’habocath likes to imagine he is not insecure about his sexuality. For Buddha’s sake, I love anime like Yuru Yuru, Non Non Biyori, k-ON!, and Flying Witch! But I also love shows like Metalocalypse, Star Trek, Fate/Zero, and so forth; having a diverse taste rules.
Then again, what is more masculine than enjoying cute girls? Perhaps those who use Warhammer 40k and such as affirmation of tuff-guy-ness are the insecure ones.
In any case, ma’habocath has often suspected being more female than male, despite physical parts.
