Because ma’habocath keeps looking at these pictures for another reason beyond the interesting outfits adorning the beautiful Mari and Yoshiko Yohane: the hat bugs the crap out of this one because ma’hab cannot wrap his mind how it would be worn IRL…

Many outfits from otaku media look less than functional, for example this one from the Final Fantasy series:


That “collar” around the lower-half of Auron’s head looks highly bothersome, especially when he needs a swig of saki or to cut something with that unwieldy-looking butterknife.

Not to imply that dork-lording across the pond is any less ridiculous:


That is a stupid hat, no matter who wears it. But at least it looks like it can stay on without duct tape; now if only those doofus horns were not the cause of much neck and shoulder ache. No wonder the trickster god is less than pleasant in any of his incarnations.
